Project Brief
Milwaukee Boot Company came to us via a client referral to modernise an outdated ecommerce website. The goal was to raise UI quality and brand alignment, improve user experience, and strengthen performance without changing the existing brand identity.
We rebuilt the storefront on WooCommerce with a conversion-first approach, focusing on clearer journeys across homepage, category, and product pages, while delivering a faster, mobile-first experience for US buyers.
The Challenge
The main risk was brand perception: the old experience did not reflect the quality of the products. We had to modernise the UI and buying flow quickly, keep the existing brand system intact, and deliver improvements under tight timelines without compromising stability at checkout.
The Process
We started with a UI audit to identify where the experience looked dated, where users could get stuck, and what needed to change first to protect brand perception.
We then refined key screens and patterns, set up WooCommerce structure, and applied conversion principles across homepage, category, and product flows.
Under tight timelines, we leaned on heavy QA at the end, fixed edge cases, and iterated until the experience felt clean, fast, and consistent.

The Build
We rebuilt the site on WordPress and WooCommerce using a heavily customised theme, aligning layouts and components to the existing brand system while improving clarity across key buying pages.
We implemented custom product templates and mobile-first behaviours, then tuned performance with practical optimisations to reduce friction and improve perceived speed across the storefront.
Checkout was streamlined with custom Stripe (US) handling, supported by shipping, tax, and Google Analytics setup to ensure tracking and operational basics were in place.
